A 2-day Stakeholders engagement on climate change hosted by the Abia state Government through the Ministry of Environment.

The Governor, Dr. Alex Otti reeled out measures adopted to mitigate the challenges of climate change in Abia.
He stated that his administration stepped up supervisory activities around the state's water bodies to stem the tides of pollution and mitigate threats arising from the activities of economic adventurers.
Presenting a keynote address in the ongoing 2-day Stakeholders engagement session on climate change put together by the Ministry of Environment at the International Conference Centre, Umuahia, Gov Otti ably represented by his Deputy, Engr Ikechukwu Emetu announced that the forest reserves in the state are now better managed as his administration is poised to expanding the layers of environmental buffers around the state and made substantial provisions to finance climate actions in the 2024 fiscal year.
